Kenya Birds and Wildlife Tour – KBWT3
Encounter the abundance of fauna on the Kenya Birds and Wildlife Tour. Check out over 300 species of birdlife from a boat and on game drives. Applaud pelicans swimming in sync. Listen to the famous fish eagle’s chatter. Be amazed at the pink flamingoes of Lake Nakuru. While there, try your hand at spotting an elusive leopard or nearly extinct rhinos.
Itinerary
Day 1 Lake Naivasha
Pick up in Nairobi and drive to Lake Naivasha. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. Most noteworthy, these forests abound with bird life. Naivasha is known as a world class birding destination. By the time you arrive, you will be ready for lunch. Follow that with a boat ride on the lake. Next is a short walk on Crescent Island. Be entertained by some of the 300 bird species including pelicans, flamingos, cormorants, storks, and fish eagles.
Globally threatened species include Reed Warbler, Lesser Flamingo, Red-knobbed Coot, African Spoonbill and Little Grebe. Additionally, Lake Naivasha is home to a wide variety of buffalo, antelope, giraffe, warthog and monkey, not to mention a sizeable population of hippos as well.

Day 2 Lake Nakuru National Park
Following breakfast, we leave for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Consequently, one of the main attraction to this national park is the large concentration of flamingos that flock seasonally to feed on the blue-green algae. Further, 56 different species including white rhinos and waterbuck call the park home. Additionally, other varieties of wildlife include zebra, impala, gazelle, lions, leopards, hyenas, hippos and buffaloes. Later, an afternoon game drive will introduce you to the large assortment of birds and mammals. A magnificent and breathtaking sunset can be seen from the top of the Baboon Cliffs. The views within the national park are spectacular.

Day 3 Depart
Finally, bask in a last morning game drive, on your departure for Nairobi. Next on the agenda is lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Transfer is provided to the airport for your flight out of Kenya. Ultimately, this is the end of your birding safari.
