Itinerary
Day 1 Kinigi
Arrive at Kayibanda International airport in Kigali where you will be met and escorted to take in the sights. Visit the genocide memorial, a tribute to the millions of people killed in the civil war in the 1990’s. Have lunch before setting off to wind your way through the beautiful countryside of the ‘Land of a Thousand Hills’ up to Kinigi, near the Volcanoes National Park. Check-in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight rest and relaxation.

Day 2 – Track Mountain Gorillas at Volcanoes National Park
We arise with the sun, have breakfast, and meet with a ranger guide before setting off into the gorilla terrain with a packed lunch. The rain forest landscape is steep and densely forested, but criss-crossed with animal trails allowing access to humans. The trek to spy on the earth’s greatest primate can take several hours of challenging walking. The thrill of discovering this gentle giant is rated as one of Africa’s best wildlife watching opportunities. The maximum time allowed with the gorillas is one hour, for the gorillas’ safety. Your memories of this day will last forever. Dinner and overnight are near the Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3 – Depart
Bask in the joy of your adventure as you relax over breakfast. Gaze at the views and stop for photos of Bulera and Ruhondo lakes on the return to Kigali. Finally, enjoy lunch and then transfer to the airport for your departure from Rwanda.

Note – Please note that gorilla tracking is a strenuous activity and one should be physically fit to enjoy this tour. The conditions can be wet and muddy. People with signs of communicable diseases will not be allowed to track the gorillas.
