Itinerary
Day 1 Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp
Today you will fly fromMaun to one of the 3 camps on offer ie Nxabega airstrip. The camp is located on the edge of the Okavango Delta, with 9 exclusive tented suites. Between game viewing activities, visit the Safari Shop or relax by the swimming pool. Officially declared UNESCO’s 1,000th World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Afric. The Okavango Delta is undeniably Botswana’s crown jewel.
Day 2 Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp
Experience a mokoro (dugout) canoe through the reeds as you count the multitudes of bird species. Enjoy twice-daily game drives that set off early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Learn about the wonderful array of flora and fauna dotted across the Okavango Delta.
Day 3 Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp
Transfer to an exclusive tented camp today, Xaranna, in another part of the delta, with 9 exclusive tented suites. Sample the fine cuisine of the camp. Relish the sights and sounds of the delta on your game viewing activities, as you count your favourite species. Cool off in your private plunge pool.
Day 4 Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp
Walk with the indigenous Bushmen people, glide along a waterway in a mokoro. Have a picnic lunch delivered to your suite after which you will embark on another game drive.
Day 5 Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
Following breakfast, transfer to Sandibe, another private camp. It is a Big Five wilderness concession bordering Moremi. Iconic wildlife encounters on foot and from a vehicle are offered for your wildlife activities. A maze of meandering water channels with papyrus-fringed banks and floating islands greet you.
Day 6 Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge
Follow the tracks of the Delta wildlife while you take in the wildlife activities offered. Between game drive and walking safari activities pay a visit to the gym or spa.
Day 7 Depart
Enjoy a final game drive to the airstrip where a light aircraft will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Maun Airport.
