The Annapurna Base Camp Trek combines some of the most spectacular mountain scenery with fascinating insights into the lives of people in the Himalaya. Annapurna Base Camp, at 4,130 m (13,549 ft), is a rudimentary campsite on Mt. Annapurna I, at 8,091 m (26,545 ft). The trek takes you through the oak and rhododendron forests that complement the culturally rich Gurung and Magar villages of the region. The splendor of Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Annapurna I and Hiunchuli (6,441 m) yield stupendous views, and will remain with you for years to come.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival day in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu. After transfer to your hotel, you will enjoy a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant.
Day 2 Kathmandu
Take a guided day tour to world heritage sites like the Hindu temple Pashupatinath, followed by the monkeys at Bouddhanath stupa, Swoyambhunath stupa, and famous Durbar Square.
Day 3 Pokhara Valley
Your guide accompanies you to Pokhara (823 m) on a 7 hour scenic drive, by tourist bus, along rivers and Nepalese countryside.
Day 4 Tikhedhunga
Commence trekking to Birethanti, beside the Modi River. We head up the main trail to Sudami where we climb gradually up the side of the valley, before pushing on to Tikhe Dhunga. (4 hrs)
Day 5 Ghorepani
Proceed uphill to Ulleri village, through rhododendron and oak forests. Finally arrive at Ghorepani to enjoy the fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayan range. (5 – 6 hrs)
Day 6 Tadapani
Start the day up to Poon Hill’s viewpoint for sunrise. Absorb the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya. Return for breakfast and continue trekking to Tadapani for overnight. (6 – 7 hrs)
Day 7 Chhomrong
Dropping down from Tadapani to Kimrong Khola offers good views of the upper Modi valley. Later, arrive in the village of Chhomrong (2210m), tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli. (5 – 6 hrs)
Day 8 Dovan
Our trail descends to the Chhomrong Khola and then to the upper Modi Khola valley. After lunch, walk through an uninhabited forest area, and to Dovan for overnight stay. (5 – 6 hrs)
Day 9 Machhapuchre Base Camp
Today we cross a ravine and major avalanche track. Carry on to the Machhapuchre Base Camp. Observe the closest viewpoint of the Machhapuchre along Annapurna I and Gangapurna. (4 – 5 hrs)
Day 10 Annapurna Base Camp
Arrive at the heart of the Annapurna Base Camp for overnight stay. The trail leads uphill for few hours, and is subsequently windy and often snowbound. Superb scenery of the Himalaya will greet you. (3 hrs)
Day 11 Bamboo
Arise with a glimpse of sunrise over Mt Annapurna I. Follow by retracing the journey back to Bamboo. Rest up with views of the many snow-capped peaks surrounding you. (5 hrs)
Day 12 Jhinu Danda
Our trail leads to the Khuldi Ghar and Sinuwa hill, with continuous walking up to the Chhomrong. After lunch, the trail descends steeply towards Jhinu for overnight stay. You may have a chance to visit a natural hot spring today. (5 – 6 hrs)
Day 13 Pokhara
This will be a long day following the Modi River. Proceed until Birethanthi and then it is an easy trek to Nayapul. Finally, our trekking ends here. Drive back to Pokhara for overnight. (6 – 7 hrs)
Day 14 Kathmandu
Early morning drive, by tourist bus, through the beautiful Nepalese countryside to Kathmandu and a well-earned rest.
Day 15 Depart
Today is free for last minute shopping or to commence any extra trips or activities you may have booked with us. If departing, you’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure.
