Mountain gorillas’ close-knit family groups are headed by a silverback. They are considered to be highly intelligent. They have been observed using tools like other great apes, and communicate using a variety of vocal sounds. Your trek’s time and terrain vary according to the movements of the gorilla troop from the night before. The rain forest has a dense network of streams due to high rainfall, especially from March to April and from September to November. The park has some of the richest populations of trees, small mammals, birds, reptiles, butterflies, and moths.
