About South Africa

About South Africa

Following is an overview of the abundance that South Africa has to offer. South Africa boasts breathtaking scenery, quaint coastal villages and cosmopolitan cities that can all be combined with a truly exhilarating Big Five South African safari.

South Africa Safaris

South Africa is consistently voted as one of the top tourist destinations around the world. Firstly, it is home to one of the world’s biggest nature reserves, the world famous Kruger National Park. Secondly, one of the most beautiful and scenic cities in the world, Cape Town, thrives on the south coast.

National Parks

Kruger National Park is South Africa’s largest game reserve and one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries on the planet. It has nearly two million hectares (almost five million acres) of unfenced African wilderness. Found here are more mammal species roaming free than in any other game reserve.

Africa’s Big 5 can be spotted, rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and cape buffalo. In addition, it is possible to view endangered game such as the African wild dog as well as bird watching of over 500 bird species. Within Kruger lies Ngala Private Game Reserve, the first private game reserve to be incorporated into this famous park.

Cape Town

Cape Town is widely described as one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Nestled in a natural bowl between the vast Atlantic Ocean and the city’s picturesque Table Mountain, Cape Town is a combination of historical coastal charm and urbane sophistication.

Less than an hour’s drive from Cape Town, are the Cape Lands. Undoubtedly, immaculate postcard-perfect scenery unfolds around you. The mountains and valleys are covered with rolling vineyards and sprawling wine estates.

The Garden Route

The Garden Route, along the south coast, is renowned for its beaches, indigenous forests, nature reserves, lakes, mountain ranges, adventure opportunities and hiking trails. Truly, South Africa has it all.
