Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival day in Kathmandu
Welcome to the Himalayan country of Nepal. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Kathmandu valley sightseeing
Take a guided day tour to world heritage sites in The Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas. Visit the pilgrimage sites of Hindu temple Pashupatinath. Be joined by hundreds of monkeys while you explore Bouddhanath stupa. Later, continue to Swoyambhunath stupa, returning to Kathmandu’s famous Durbar Square.
Day 3 Pokhara valley
Your guide accompanies you to Pokhara (823 m) on a 7 hour scenic drive. Prepare to begin your trek along rivers and Nepalese countryside in the Annapurna region.
Day 4 Pothana
Follow the trail to Dhampus village and Pothana (1990 m). Take in the views of Machhapuchre (Mt. Fishtail) as well as Annapurna South. (4 hours walk) Rest and relax at a local teahouse for overnight.
Day 5 Ghandruk village
Walk up and down quiet forest trails to Landruk. Ascend to Ghandruk. On the way, bask in the closest views of Annapurna and Machhapuchre at 1940 m. (6 – 7 hours)
Day 6 Tadapani
Stroll through rich rhododendron forest and ascend to Tadapani at 2710 m. (approximately 4 hours)
Day 7 Ghorepani
Take a 3 hour climb up to the steep ridge of Deurali pass (3160m). From there, it is an easy walk down to Ghorepani (5 – 6 hours)
Day 8 Tatopani via Poonhill
Start your climb today, up to Poonhill (3210 m), to catch a sunrise. Additionally, you will enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Mustang and Pokhara valleys. Later, continue down to Tatopani, and the hot springs. (6 – 7 hours)
Day 9 Galeshowor
Follow the Kaligandaki River downhill through villages and fields. Then, take an easy path to Galeshowor, at 900 m. (6 – 7 hours)
Day 10 Pokhara
Drive to Pokhara through beautiful countryside. Upon arrival, choose to explore the lakeside area or simply relax. (4 – 5 hours drive)
Day 11 Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu through scenic countryside, 7 hours. Proceed to the hotel for rest and relaxation.
Day 12 Departure from Kathmandu
Finally, today is free for last minute shopping or sight-seeing. If departing, you’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departing flight.
